Articulation Agreements and Completing a Four-Year Degree

Last updated 2 years ago

It’s quite common for a student pursuing higher education to complete a four-year degree at more than one educational institution. For example, you may choose to take general education courses such as English, calculus, and history at Chattahoochee Technical College. Once you’ve completed the required core or general education courses with us, you can apply for a transfer to a college or university that maintains an articulation agreement with CTC.

Essentially, an articulation agreement is a formal partnership between schools. It provides for a seamless transition for students transferring to another school. An articulation agreement may include a list of courses that a school will treat as equivalents to their courses. Or, it may guarantee that completion of a program at the technical college will satisfy the general freshman and sophomore requirements of the other institution.

To better serve the needs of our students, Chattahoochee Technical College maintains articulation agreements with about a dozen universities and colleges. Many other institutes of higher learning in Georgia and beyond accept transfer credits from our programs. For more information about career training at CTC, call 678-384-4958.
