With about *366,000 Georgians currently employed in the manufacturing sector and more job opportunities becoming available each year, now is the prime opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills to give your performance, and resume, a leading edge among the competition. From textiles and metals, to computer and electronic product manufacturing, all roles in manufacturing will benefit from the Excellence in Manufacturing courses.
The courses, presented by the College’s Department of Economic Development, address areas such as team work, time and priority management, the background and application of Lean Six Sigma, and the essentials for OSHA compliance. The cost is $59 per session or $199 for the series. Courses will be held from 9 AM to 1 PM in March and April on the following dates:
- Teams and Teamwork: March 6 at the Appalachian Campus; or April 3 at the Paulding Campus
- Time Management: March 13 at the Appalachian Campus; or April 10 at the Paulding Campus
- Introduction to Lean: March 20 at the Appalachian Campus; or April 17 at the Paulding Campus
- OSHA for Managers: March 27 at the Appalachian Campus; or April 24 at the Paulding Campus
