Stress is a survival mechanism designed to quickly get you out of a dangerous situation. This emergency physical state is only meant to last for a brief period, but in today’s world, everyone stresses about everyday things all the time. When stressed, you are less able to think clearly, learn, and remember things. Try to take deep breaths, get plenty of exercise, make a plan of action, or socialize when you feel stressed. These activities can counteract the effects of stress and help you regain control.
